Default Putting 2014 Chevy Silverado 1500 LTZ in 4W High

Recently bought the truck and was an idiot and put truck is 4wheel low while being in drive. The truck has electronic 4WD shift, not manual. Truck instructed me to put the transmission in neutral, which I did, then the notification went away. I then put the truck in drive and everything seemed fine. I read the manual immediately after and it said you have to wait for the 4WHi light to stop blinking. I'm not sure if I did, but I put the car back in drive after being in neutral for a few seconds. Is this really bad for the 4wd gear box? It won't happen again but wasn't sure of anything that could happen from doing once. Any insight is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

if the tcase can't complete the shift due to parameters not being met...it will stay in the current mode. your fine.

you can shift on the fly from 2hi to 4hi and back
to shift to or out of 4 low...come to a complete stop, shift the trans to neutral...shift to 4low...when the light goes solid on 4low, shift to drive and your good.

its the road conditions are bad, keep it in 4hi not 4 auto if you have that option
