Question about programmers...
I have a 2015 Silverado Crew Cab 4 X 4 with a 6.5 ft. bed with the 5.3 L in LT trim. Z71 Tires are the P265/65/18. It currently has approx. 8500 miles. This is a two part question,
What is the best programmer for this truck, and will it void my warranty?
Thanks for any info anyone can provide. TexasJim5978.

yes, a programmer of any type will void your warranty. Dealers are required to take snapshots of the ecm, tcm calibrations and send them in with warranty claims for any engine or trans replacement/repair. If the calibrations do not match, your warranty is void.
programmers remove the factory calibrations and store it. the factory programming can be re-flashed back to the truck whenever you need to return to the dealer.
IMO, I'm not a fan of programmers for normally aspirated, stock gas engines. the improvements are underwhelming for the cost. the best application is for something with boost.

if you don't care about voiding your warranty; supercharge or turbo...if you have $5-10g to throw around. if you want your warranty...leave it completely stock. cai and exhaust mods by themselves are a waste of money.
leave it stock and keep your money in your pocket. Spend your $700 for a programmer on something worthwhile.
do you have a friend with a programmer...do a test drive with them, stock vs tuned and see what you think. the programmers for the diesel turbo's are fantastic....gassers not so much.
