2008 HHR & Silverado experiencing a similar problem.

I hope I'm in the right forum I apologize if I'm not.

The radio cannot be heard.....the volume is so low even with the radio at the maximum volume it's barely audible.

The door chime & seat belt chime cannot be heard either.

I hope someone can assist.

the radio has a built in amp, most likely went bad. replace your radio and see if your problem is resolved. hopefully you can find a 2008 at a junkyard. the stock radio usually looks best.

 

If all wire is good, its amplifier must be busted. For sure you can easily find stock radios
