? When I lock my 2004 Tahoe using the remote the lights do not flash and the horn does not beep? But when I unlock it using the remote the lights blink and the horn beeps. Is this backwards? Why would it be doing this? Could the remote be programed wrong/backwards?

 

Has it always been that way or did you just buy your truck? On the steering wheel there is a button that looks like a pice of paper with writing on it and a pen put the key in the ignition and turn it on but don't start it press this button and you should be able to change the lock/unlock settings and all that

 

I was in there, but with the SUV running. it is set to beep and flash when locking with the remote. Does it make a differance if the car is not running?

 

I just got the Tahoe last week, and a friend told me it should flash and beep when locking with the remote

 

I went through the menu options and it is set to flash and beep when you lock the vehicle with the remote. Anyone have any other thoughts/ideas? Maybe a bad remote or a not program cotrrectly remote?
