Replacing the Turn Signal Mechanism
I have a 1997 Chevrolet Lumina in need of a new turn signal mechanism. I was wondering if this is a job for a shadetree mechanic like me. I don't know if the air bag is sensitive or if it need be disabled somehow first. If anybody has any insite into this project please let me know.

Thanx....

You must disable the airbag before doing anything. When that goes off it comes out at around 500 mph! If your going to try and do it yourself i recomend getting the proper proceedure for dissabling the airbags!
