<IMG src=smileys/smiley6.gif border="0">I have a 1997 Chevrolet Lumina in need of a new turn signal mechanism. I was wondering if this is a job for a shadetree mechanic like me. I don't know if the air bag is sensitive or if it need be disabled somehow first. If anybody has any insite into this project please let me know.</P>

Default Replacing the Turn Signal Mechanism

You must disable the airbag before doing anything. When that goes off it comes out at around 500 mph! If your going to try and do it yourself i recomend getting the proper proceedure for dissabling the airbags!

I have the same problem with my 1992 lumina. If you found a solution, could you please relay fix info to me? Thank you for reading. Am new member so if i missed any protacol, please forgive.
