New guy here... Having concerns about cam timing on my old 1971, 307 small block in the C-10. Many years ago, I installed a new timing set with the 3 positions on the gear for 0, advanced or retarded initial setting. I set it advanced and I'm curious as to how that may affect my static timing and what, or if it may cause engine damage? I'm planning on installing a new ERSON E110028 cam and lifter set soon and once again, trying to figure out where to properly time the cam and static timing as well. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
