serpentine belt conversion
Here is what I got:
- 350 sbc, pre '77 block
- serpentine belt system w/ pulleys and brackets off a 4.3l
what I want to do is use a corvette type short water pump (5 3/4" '84-'92) with the newer model serp system. That 1" diff between the long and short pumps is REALLY important....all I can get between it and the radiator.
It appears to me that all I need is a pulley that fits the short pump and aligns with the alt and p/s pump.....basically 1" shallower, right?
Can anyone help, Ive searched but cant find, or even know what to ask for if I call anyone.
