Shutting down at any speed (including idling)
Last week on three seperate occasions I had my suburban shut down for no apparent reason. Each time the vehicle was driving fine and then I was given three display messages:
1) Stabilitrak off 2) Traction control off 3) Engine power reduced. After those three messages the truck shuts down without any jerking or shuttering just a very quiet "death." When this happens it takes about 5 minutes before I can restart the vehicle. This happens at any speed once while idling in a parking lot, once while going about 20 mph and once while doing about 50 mph. (It's fun when you lose power steering and brakes with a car load of kids at 50mph). I took it into the dealer and since it is an intermitent problem they didn't actually see it but apparently got the code stating it was a bad fuel pump module. This was replaced and I got the truck back yesterday. I drove it about 20 miles this morning and it worked fine. I was idling and it gave me those three messages plus a new one stating: service stabilitrak and shut down. A little while later while going about 35 mph it did it again. Dealership does not believe it is actually related to the stabilitrak. In case this info is relavant (as I know temp and water getting into things sometimes is) it has been dry and temps have been between 70-88 degrees.
Trucks info:
Chevrolet, Suburban, 2010, 4WD, 5.3L, 36,700 miles.
Anyone have any ideas? We are due to take a long trip soon and dreading the thought of driving it through the mountains with it cutting in and out. Thanks so much!

I'm sorry to hear that the initial fix didn't end up resolving the issue! Are you planning on going back to the dealership on this? If we can look into this further with you, please send us a private message with the following information: your name, phone and address, the last 8 of your VIN and current mileage, the name of your dealership and information about your recent visit (date, price paid for work if applicable, etc).
