I have a 2012 Silverado LT package with chrome grill and bumper. I wrecked the truck and they replaced most of the front end due to damage. I noticed the bumper end pieces are plastic versus the steel center piece. Is that normal, or did my body shop substitute plastic end pieces for metal ones to save money?

 

they are all like that right off the assembly line....plastic chrome. If you look on the back you will probably see gm embossing in the plastic.
