Default Silverado wheel balancing

I have an '02 Silverado with stock alloy wheels. Got new tires and keeps throwing weights off. Tire guy triple checked and claims they are the correct weights. Any ideas?

They can use stick on weights on the inside, just make sure they clean the area with brake clean or carb cleaner first. If they are using clip on weight they are NOT using to correct ones. I have never had weights come off. At my shop we have 6 different type of clip on weights and a little gauge you put on the lip of the wheel to see which ones to use.

Wrong weights! They used "MC"; supposed to be "TS". Thanks.

Thank you MDTAHOE, you hit it right on again.

This problem, BTW, is a perfect example of WHY I'm very unwilling to let automotive "professionals" do ANY work on my ride...

Well said rivereye. Heard a conversation on my CB radio many years ago between two truckers talking about professionals. It went something like "Yup, there's Truck Drivers and then there's them 'ol boys that drive trucks". This applies to many other vocations as well.
