My '99 Tahoe comes up with a starter that does not line up to the bolt pattern. The starter from Autozone has a staggered bolt pattern but the bolt pattern on the engine has 2 bolts that are straight across. This is off of the motor info and the VIN. Although I have to double check the VIN. I have a mechanic working on it but I would like to do some research to see if I can figure out why it is different. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

 

99 is a crossover year...they have 99 old body style and 99 new body style. Its either boxed wrong or the wrong part.
