Default starting issue

my 93 chevy k1500 with the 5.7 has an issue starting after I wash it. ive gone through the car wash twice with it and each time it sputters and dies and wont crank over for about 10 minutes. I don't have problems starting it any other time so its not something I'm super worried about but id like a few ideas on where to look

getting moisture somewhere you shouldn't by the sounds of it, maybe intake or distributor cap would be the quickest to check

Check the insulation seal on the back of the hood nearest the windshield. Could be a way water makes it's way to the distributor. Sounds like never a problem in heavy rain? How long have you owned the truck and how long has this been a problem?

ive owned the vehicle since june and it hasn't become a problem until January. I went to get it washed and it sputtered a bit then didn't start for like 10 minutes. I haven't driven it through a heavy rain so I'm not sure. I haven't checked the distributor cap yet I was thinking that could be a problem. thank you both
