Default Stealth Ram EFI Intake Manifold 7540 cooling issue

I have a 1986 Pontiac Fiero with an unknown donor V8 350ci. It's S/N says it's a 87-91 block, iron heads and stock (for the years) TPI system. Cooling worked OK under 75mph. When I had an injector problem, I decided to upgrade the stock TPI to a Weiand Stealth Ram EFI Intake Manifold 7540. The first thing I noticed was the new Manifold did not pass water from the heads like the stock one did. The car now overheats at any speed. Also changed was the distributor, and a FAST EZ EFI. The car has an electric water pump.

Did I shoot myself in the foot?
