Default steering wheel bit

does anybody here know how to take the middle piece off of the steering wheel shown below? It should pop off but im not familiar with airbags or chevy stuff.

... problem is let my buddy drive my truck and slid it into a concrete barrier... Everything seems fine, Just steering wheel is off.. Alignment is still good... Just bumpers dented a lil and steering wheel is off.

Help is greatly appreciated.

Would you look out for anything else? I am very familiar with VW's just got into the Chevy world.

Thanks in advance

Default RE: steering wheel bit

Sorry but if the steering wheel is off center after the accident then the alignment is not still good. The steering wheel has very little adjustment and will need to be recentered by having the alignment redone.
