stuck rear fog light on 07 suburban
Hi, first post
So I have an EU spec 2007 suburban, that means that besides diffrent standards, that it also got a driver's side rear fog light.
for context: I also have fog lights in front.
As a industry mechanic I tried a few things, but didn't get that far.
I tried to see if the light switch(gm-25858709) was broken or stuck, my front fogs trun on and off, but the rear one just stays on when klicking the button.
next I found a electrical diagram online about the 'new generation' small and big suv/trucks from GM from 2007 til 2014. I will have the link listed. At page 417, I found a diagram, the only one, for a rear fog light. it shows that pin 6 on the headlight switch is responsible for the rear fog, and pin 10 for the front fog. Sadly, the electrical book doesnt show a diagram of the connector, so I cant find wich one is 6 or 10 to test. It is shown however that both switches inside are NO(normal open), So I expect the output to be high when the witch is closed. sadly I have no idea how to power this module, If only I knew what was ground and power, I could power it by a 12v battery and some wire, just to test. I am also a bit holding back as I don't want to damage the part by adding current in the wrong places.
As for me testing, the minimal part delivery date is 2 weeks from USA to Belgium, so I am not paying 50euros and 20 more shipping if I am not sure.
Logical thinkerw would assume that the relay has gone bad, but again, the diagram doesn't show a relay and I also haven't found any.The dash does switch between showing no fog light warning and that orange light indicating that they are on.
I really need this to work, as inspection is due and my trailer hitch and lighting connector will also be checked, so I can't have the fog light on all the time.
link to electrical book, page 417 holds fog light information.

Can't have this as link due to file size.
I hope anyone can help before I have to buy this stuff.
Kind regards,
a lost soul from Belgium
