Default Suburban misfires when moisture in air.

It has happened before when wet but today it died. Took a while to restart. Misfired for a while and then was fine. Very dense fog and light rain. Electrical? Son's mechanic thought distributor cap was wet or cracked. Cracked coil? Might be time for a plug wires cap replacement. Check engine light did not come on. Thanks for your help. Bruce
