Year: 2004 Cavalier 5-Speed
I have had this occur two times now. Both time I was driving on the freeway and my car was in gear and all of a sudden the RPM's went up and I was speeding up and almost hit the person in front of me. Lucky for me I was able to put the car into neutral and press the brake. When the car suddenly began to accelerate my feet were away from all pedals. Strangely enough after each episode the car returns to normal quickly and I cant get it to mimic it again.
