Swapping a 1994 v6 with a 1980 v8
We just acquired a 1994 Chevy stepside with a v6. The truck only has 69,000 miles but has been sitting for about 7 years. My Father-in-law owned the truck so we know the full history and know that there were no mechanical issues with the truck when he parked it.
We want to get the truck running again, but we have an 350 engine and transmission out of a 1980 Chevy short bed pickup that has all been rebuilt (with a little extra added) that is just sitting in the garage.
So my question is...can we swap the rebuilt 1980 350 engine and transmission with the 1994 v6 and keep it fuel injected?
