Question Tahoe misfiring

I tried this in the sub & tahoe section and haven't gotten anything thus far so I'll try here, shorter version. What could cause a motor to throw a specific cylinder misfire code (P0305) to a random misfire code (P0300)? I know sometimes the hydraulic lifters get stuck and just need some time to bleed out, which I THINK was the initial problem, but it's the random misfire that throwing me now. I've been told I probably just need to have the valves cleaned as one or more may still be slightly sticking, make sense to you?

I should probably throw in that it's a 96 tahoe with the 5.7
