I've got a 2003 Explorer Van and have a weird problem.
I always leave the display on the 'A' trip counter but the next day it jumps back to the total miles. If I don't drive for even longer, then my clock resets to 12:00. The battery seems to be OK because I can start the van without any problems. The voltage and charging is also ok: 14 or a bit more when idling.

I did have to replace the battery a couple of months ago. It all started with the same problems: trip counter switching. I'm affraid I'll have to replace the battery again if it continues like this.
Any ideas?
