My truck just shut off in the middle of the road. She'll turn over but won't actually start up. I'm new to all this, so sorry if I don't know everything to tell you all. It's a 98 Chevy silverado K1500 4x4, engine is 5.7. At first I thought it was the fuel pump, but I can hear it turning on and off. I've replaced that relay. I checked the fuses for the ignition and they seem fine. She turns over but that's all I get. I've just changed the oil and fuel filter. Any ideas on what else I can look for? Or what is might be?

 

Just hearing the pump running is not enough. You have to check to make sure it is putting out the correct pressure. Get a pressure gauge and check.

 

I don't have gauges, but I try to find some. Thank you! Can you tell me what the pressure is suppose to read?
