truck won't turn off

starter or ignition problem???
I have a 97 k1500. I changed the starter last month cause my truck kept dying but it was because the battery didn't have a good connection. Anyway, my truck sounds like it is trying to turn over repeatedly and won't stop WHILE THE TRUCK IS RUNNING. I turn the key off but the truck won't turn off. I had to disconnect the battery to turn the truck off. Any ideas what I should check or replace?
