turbo 350 tranny + C700R torque converter

turbo 350 tranny + C700R torque converter
I have a 1989 Chevrolet Custom Deluxe. I replaced my 700R tranny with the turbo 350 tranny, and left the 700R4 torque converter in. Are the 700R4 torque converter and turbo 350 transmission compatible? I know the th350 torque converter and 700r4 transmission aren't. I'm dead in the water until I can get a new torque converter or solve this mystery.
