What to consider. 2008 Suburban 2500
Hey Guys and gals....
I'm looking at buying a 2008 Suburban LS 2500 6.0 Vortec with 22k miles on it. I know the family and I know that this Sub wasn't driven in the past year or started. prior to that it was only driven on occasion.
It was always garaged in a heated garage. I doubt the fuel has been changed in over two years. Should all this sitting concern me? Is this a bad investment? It starts on first turn and everything seems to work fine. motor purrs.
thinking total price will be $12k which I feel is more than fair.. What are things I should be getting done immediately to this vehicle? I assume oil change? Fuel treatment? Sea-foam? coolant flush? Transmission flush?
Thanks in advance.
Sincerely,
Ross

That sounds like a dang good deal. Is it 2wd or 4wd?
The first thing I would prolly do is throw a new battery in her.... just to be on the safe side.
If if she is 4x4 make sure it works and no whining sounds from t-case.
Im sure you know a mechanic who can give it a once over.
Good find!

Yes, it is 4x4. I'll take a listen to the transfer case. I do have a few mechanic friends to help me out.
I'm excited to buy this Sub. It'll be my first ever Chevy. I've only owned Ford's and (don't laugh) Hondas.
