Default What a grind

I know that this ques. will stir up a lot of opinions but I am in the process of rebuilding the 350 in my '74 camper special and I am amazed at all the different grinds that are available from the different cam manufacturers. In the past, I have always leaned towards the Comp Cams for effecient power but I have not played this game for 20 years and things have changed a lot! Truck is used mainly as parts hauler and weekend camper, occasional heavy pulling (stock trailer). Turbo 350 has heavy package and B&M valve body. 3.73 rears. I would not mind a mild lope but want to make power from 1000 rpm or less. The truck does not get enough use to justify the expense of a retro roller although they have a certain appeal. [8D] As a sideline, the truck has been a member of the family since 1976! Any helpful suggestions would be appreciated personal experience with numbers to prove (mpg hp) would be even better!

Thanks!

Probably a Comp cams 252H but I'd call Comp Cams Tech and verify. They have a good website.
