Default wiper drive issues, safety issue, please help, 2000 Chev Venture Van

Ok all, have had the van since 2018, and for the most part, for a 100000 mile van, it has ben great, the 3.4 is smooth and the trans shifts well, serviced fully so no complaints on the drive train.

BUT....

The windshield wiper system is problematic for me, for 1, the plastic cover that should be there is not there, so all the linkage is exposed.

The crank arm on top of the motor has been replaced now 2 times with the only available aftermarket replacement brand new, Dorman 602-205, lifetime warranty, it works for maybe 2-300 wipes, then it stops, 1 of them popped the pin and cam, and came apart. the other one just started to spin the T30 bolt and stop engaging because it deformed and is hung up on a T30 at the baseplate mount of the linkage.

question is, is this an aftermarket quality problem or is this because the linkage itself is worn and causing the crank arm failure? Motor is fine. runs like a champ! Need help! Thanks!
