Default Wiring EL(ElectroLuminescent) Wire.

I've been thinking about getting EL wire to put across my dashboard(like in the picture posted). I know how I want the EL to be but not sure how to wire it. What I want is for the EL wire to turn on whenever I press unlock on remote or open a door, just like my dome lights and headlights, so I thought maybe I can some how wire the EL to the dome light or headlight circuit, okay seems simple, BUT I also want to be able to have the EL on while I'm driving (so looks like dome light circuit is out of the box since they turn off while I'm driving, unless I can hook up a switch to be able to turn on the EL while driving and when switched to off position the EL will still turn on when I press unlock or open a door). So I need ideas on how I can wire the EL to turn on when I open a door or unlock doors with remote and then turn off after several seconds like the dome lights, but still be able to turn on the EL anytime I'm driving and when I put the switch that allows me to turn on the EL in the off position, the EL wire will still come on even if the turn on switch is in the off position. Sorry if this doesn't make any sense.
