IMO? Alright I got ya, now another question; how does the oil get distributed after it goes thrugh the oil pump? I know there are holes drilled through out the block. I only ask because I have something that will turn oil pump without cranking over the engine, if I do so will the oil be properly distributed to the places that need it without causing any harm if I try to turn it over then? When I do try to turn it over again I will take spark plugs out so the compression is not damaging my parts.

the distributor drives the oil pump. Is the drive shaft from distributor to oil pump installed?

If you have an extension that you can drive the oil pump from the distributor hole, by all means do so before you crank it anymore. If you cannot, you'll have to pull the oil pan, if you do that, I'd STRONGLEY urge you to inspect a couple rod, or main bearings. If the bearings, and journals are not damaged, then I'd again STRONGLEY suggest ( I use Lubriplate 105), prelube the bearings ALL of them. Since you had posted the engine while cranking was making noise, might be best to pull the pan, and inspect. Note today is 11/19, your last post was 11/8
