XM Sat Radio and Navigation Sys
I have a 2007 Silverado 2500HD. The dealer indicated he can install XM Sat radio, which it did not have, but cannot install the navigator system? Can anyone shed any light on this as to why? I wasn't able to get a concise answer, as the dealer said it couldn't be done??? Tks.
the LTZ comes with a complete different console for the Nav system, you lose thee 6 pack CD player, and the screen mounts in the console....I dont know if you have a LTZ or not but, the NAV system could be installed I supposed anything is possible, the XM is easy, just change the radio or go after market, the XM and Onstar use the same antenna so the truck has the antenna for it just need the radio upgrade.
The nav would be trickier...but like I said anything is possible if you have the $$$$
EDIT...the 2007 should have 'Turn by Turn Nav' in the radio, basically you tell onstar where you want to go and they will D/L the directions to your radio and it will prompt you when to turn and were to go.
