I recently purchased some shocks for my 2006 silverado 1500 z71. Nowhere could I find whether they were for z71 packages or not. They just said they'd for 4wd. I read some reviews and found a customer who said he put them on his 2003 z71 Tahoe and they fit fine. My question is would they fit my silverado?

 

I'm not sure what year, but at some time GM switched from Bilstein Z71 shocks to Rancho shocks. If you want real Z71 shocks, go buy some Bilstein 46mm monoshocks 4600 series. Best shock in the world IMO. ( Story told to me by a Sears counter guy; Guy came in wanted to replace his "old" Bilstein's with 120K miles for new Rancho shocks. Two days later he came back and asked if they still had the old Bilstein's - wanted them back on his truck.) Just sayin.
