Default No reverse lights

2009 hhr 2.2l automatic. Just noticed after having the car for awhile that my reverse lights are out. I don't think they ever worked I checked and replaced the bulbs and the fuse and they are good. Brake lights and turn signals work. Does anyone have an idea or does someone have a wiring diagram?

Welcome from Florida. You probably have a bad backup light switch or a break in the wiring. the back up light switch is mounted in the transmission and should not be a difficult repair.

That's what I've been looking into and couldn't find a definitive answer on whether or not the automatics have a reverse light switch. I'm going to try and test everything with a volt meter this week and try and locate the switch as well
