Rear brake pads in front temporarily?
Hey everyone.
I have an '08 HHR.
I'm replacing the front brake pads, but was sent the rear ones by mistake. They have about half the surface area (making contact with about half of the rotor) but otherwise seem to fit just fine.
I'm in a bit of a bind and won't be able to get the correct ones for a couple of days. I know they're not built to handle the increased heat generated by the front brakes. My question is whether the rear pads will suffice in the front for a couple of days if I'm gentle with them, or if there's some unusual risk of serious damage or danger that isn't obvious to me.
Thanks in advance!
