03 Impala 3400 knocking and misfiring
Hello,
My wifes 2003 Impala 3400 started knocking and missing all of a sudden. I read the code and received a P0300 cylinder misfire and ABS. I put on new plugs and wires and the problem is still there. I removed the egr valve and cleaned it thoroughly and replaced the gasket. The problem still exists. I removed the #2 plug wire and the knocking stopped. What could be wrong here? I appreciate any of your input in advance.

Welcome to the forum.
How did the spark plugs look when you took them out? They can tell a lot on what's been going on in each cylinder. As for the "#2" cylinder, if it actually sound like the spark knock pinging, the KS sensor input can cause random spark retardation which can actually cause P0300. Run cylinder compression tests?
