P0480 means "Fan 1 Relay Circuit Fault." COOL FAN 1 relay is supplied the battery voltage through the 25A FAN CONT 1 fuse in the engine harness wiring junction block (underhood, passenger side). The fuse powers the cooling fan 1 as well as the relay coil. The PCM grounds the relay coil to energize the relay which then switches in the battery voltage to cooling fan 1. The circuit fault is usually when the PCM does not sense the voltage on the relay coil. Check the fuse and the relay.
