i have a 2000 impala that has a bad headlamp switch.. the lights turn on and off while driving at night or they dont come on at all, what i want to do is jump the switch out so the head lamps are on at all times when the car is running, please add your thoughts..

 

Couldn't tell from your post if you're absolutely sure the switch is bad and not possibly a loose connection somewhere. I had a similar experience with a cadillac. Turned out to be a simple fix as the mechanic that worked on it previously didn't tighten down the the nut that connected the cables to the altenator. Good luck.
