2002 Impala won't start at times..
OK, so this car has 240,000 miles on it, but trust me, she can ride like a dream when she wants. The problem is she is becoming more and more not trustworthy. I have security problems with the whole not starting for ten minutes thing.. I see how to fix that now. I am also wondering why there are certain times when the motor will crank and crank, but she won't start.
Just the other day she left me stranded at work and I had to walk home. NO good. Is this also related to the security issue or is this a whole different issue? It sounds like the fuel pump is bad when it does happen, but she starts up 12 to 24 hours after she acts this way. Anyone else with the same issue? Feel free to email me! Thanks

Problem was the cam-shaft sensor. Insulation was burned off of wires, allowing improper contact when hot. Fix required lifting power steering pump - no easy thing. Prior to this, I replaced ignition module, crank shaft sensor and starter. Problem was the cam-shaft sensor the entire time, causing over-cranking and wearing out the starter.
