Default 2004 impala cold air on driver side, heat on the passenger side??

Im having a problem with cold air blowing on the driver side as i turn the heat on, but heat is blowing on the passenger side. is it the blend door actuator or just the blend door, and if so, where do you find the blend door? if its the actuator is it on the driver side? and how do i get to it? any input would be greatly appreciated.

Default Blend Door Actuator?

I just recently went through a similar problem with a 2004 Silverado. I would think that problem you are experiencing is similar to mine. Heat is working, but the blend door actuator is not letting it out. I don't know about your vehicle, but the blend door for the silverado is on the bottom of the duct work. Try searching for "blend door actuator heat/cool controls" or something similar and you should find some related info. Hope yours is as easy as mine was to fix. T.S.
