Default 2004 impala rear speakers

Im installing a pair of 6x9 infinity kappas in that back of my impala.
I got all the carpeting and Ive alread taken out the old speakers, I am confused on the old wiring system. Which is positive and which is negative on the two wires. Also, my new speakers have 2 crossovers and I may have to split the wires on the old wires to connect them? Is that right?
I just need some info on the back wiring system of the speakers
thanks

Default RE: 2004 impala rear speakers

do the back speakers have the white connecters that are like sheaths? not standard looking wiring? ( i think they are, the one time i ever looked at them) .if so, this same problem on my brother's accord. its easier just to cut the sheath off, and attach some terminal ends from an electrical kit with some easy wiring striping and crimping. use a voltmeter to test which is positive and which is negative.
