Default 2006 Impala Key Fob Not Working

My key fob is not working for my impala and I have tried the following to fix it:
- replace batteries
- check the signal (there is a signal)
- reprogram the key fob
- key fob works for a few minutes after the car is turned on and then off again
- removed the accessory fuses
I am open to try anything to get this to work again.

The fob isn't the issue. The car forgets the key fob even after it has been reprogrammed. The fob works for a few seconds after the car has been on.

Assuming your circuit board is good, you can buy bare key FOB on Amazon cheap. You likely have a bad circuit board, but along with a new FOB are still cheap. It gets expensive when you have to have the grooves cut in your unit, but you can transfer that to the new FOB. Do a Youtube review and go from there.

There is no soldering to be done on his FOB. Mine has none. It's likely a bad circuit board, tech2. I have done two of them already on my Malibu. It's one of the things I never wanted on my Chevy. Thankfully, I haven't had to visit a dealership to get them programmed. The car does that with a working FOB.
