Hi there I'm new here as I bought a sweet 2007 Ex-Police which I believe is a 9C1/9C3 package.

I have 2 questions as I'm going to do this car up good I hope.

1) what dose the 9C1/9C3 package have include ??
and
2) when the police service has retiered said vehical dose the performance chip remain or is that removed with the package ??

the police package upgrades are brakes, suspension and tires. No change to performance. the speed limiter may be higher or removed.

 

so how can it be called an intercepter with NO performance mods ?? I could just match it in the same kinda car and be par with it. no performance mods hardly makes it a pursuit vehicle...

 

If you doubt it, do some research.
What is the 8th character of the vin? this is the engine code. Does it have the 5.3L?
All the impalas, tahoes are normal run of the mill powertrains but with brakes, tire and chassis police options.

use your vin and find a site that with detail the build codes.

 

ALL Of our Police package Impala's have a 3.9liter engine. IMHO, these run like a scalded dog.
Like someone stated earlier, the Police package includes plastic floor matt, certified 140mph speedo, HD suspension, brakes, cooling and an oil cooler. As well as, additional wiring to support all the lighting and sirens.
We do not alter any RPM or speed limiter settings, when they are turned in for auction.
Always be careful whom you are getting advice from. People love to bull****.
