Hi everyone im new and sorry if this is in the wrong place. My wife drives my 2008 impala to work. The car has recently started showing power reduced. I cleaned the terminals and actually replaced the one it was so bad. Since then the car drove fine for about 5 days now. Now on her way home the car didnt want to start she got it started and began to drive home. As soon as she hit the first stop sign it shut off. Then she made it about 20 more feet and died at the next stop sign this time it did not want to restart just attempted to turn over. She said it makes a slight rattle noise when she gets on the gas. I have to try and get this fixed but im lost on what it could be is it the throttle body? Im guessing this due to the noise and the fact it shuts off when stopped? any help please

 

You should check the obvious, is it a disconnected clamp from the air duct to the TB? ect.

 

hey guys I now replaced my entire throttle body I put everything back together and everything started up and ran. About 5 minutes later the code came back but still drove so I took it home. But now when I go to drive it the car will shut off and say starting disabled service throttle then the same engine power reduced I let it sit then I can start it again but will just get the code again please help.
