I have a question. I notice that when starting my impala with remote start ill have it run for a while and when I get in the vehicle I expect it to be nice and warm inside but its blowing cold air. Is there a way to change this? Also I notice how when idle and in park the heat will cool down and then become hot again once accelerating. This really sucks if I'm freezing and want to warm up but it keeps switching around.

 

regarding the low heat at idle; this is a symptom of air in the cooling system.


no car will produce heat until the coolant warms up. depending on the ambient temperature; this may take 10-15minutes
