2011 chevy impalla starting hard

I have a 2011 chevy impalla and just recently I ran out of gas. Ever since then if my car sets longer than a few hours without being started it has trouble starting. Any idea what the problem may be?

Old fuel pump and running out of gas is not a good idea. the fuel pump depends on gasoline to lubricate and cool it. Id run a fuel pressure check on it. Likely it is going bad.
