Default 2011 Impala Recall on throttle shut down problem

Hello,

I have a 2011 Chevy Impala. In 2013 I had a problem with the throttle shut down issue. I had my local Chevy Dealer, Quirk in Bangor Maine fix it. They replaced the gas pedal assembly. I paid for this repair as at the time a recall had not been issued. Last year I received and letter from Chevy indicating that a recall had been issued and I could get a refund. i called about it but for got to actually go to the dealership to followup. Last night while driving on I95 the same problem occurred. Same indicator messages, same cutting out of the gas etc. I just turned 100,000 miles on the car yesterday as well. I am hoping i can get this resolved without having to pay for it again!! Can you offer any assistance?
Thank you

if you have your reciepts they will still re-imburse you...as long as the parts replaced were the ones involved in the recall.

its probably an issue with the drive by wire system. The parts involved are the throttle body, accelerator pedal, pcm and wiring. Have to codes read and this will give the tech a diagnostic starting point. If the code is different from the first time; its may be a different part of the system that is at fault. Hard to say with the limited information known at this point.
