First of all, I have no idea what this is. But back in early 2013 I brought my Impala in because my rear window defogger was not working. After diagnosing, it was determined that my rear window needed to be replaced. Fortunately, it was under warranty. So during the winter of 2013/2014 defogger worked fine. And now it's not working again. I called GM and filed a claim. After a few conversations, I got GM to waive the diagnosis, which will be done at a local Chevy dealer. I won't know what's going on until next week at the scheduled appointment. In the event the same problem is occurring, I don't believe that I should be responsible as I look at it as a recurring problem. My warranty ran out due to the miles (94K+) on my car.
I guess my questions are this:


Has anyone had this problem, and if so, has it reoccurred?


If it is the same issue, should I be responsible for the cost of the repairs?
