Default 03 Suburban front seat heater shorted

I just picked up an 03 Burb. The driver’s leather is pretty cracked up and the seat heater doesn’t work. Can anyone tell me what years will a direct bolt be in if I find replacements?

If not, has anyone troubleshot the seat heater? The switch has power. When you select either back or both elements the switch light comes on momentarily but won’t stay on. I’m thinking either a shorted wire or a shorted element.

Welcome to the forum. Probably 2001 through 2006 seats would work. You said you had power to the switch but does that power, when the switch is On, get to the heater element? If it does and you still don't get any heat, then the element is most likely open. You can check that with an ohmmeter.

Thanks

Gonna try to get to it this weekend. Got to change plugs and plug wires and do all four brakes first.

Have a good weekend
