Default 2014 Impala LTZ Mirror Tap/ Blend Mount for Radar Detector

Hello, I have been searching the web for information on how to tap into the wiring harness in my mirror. I want to buy a MirrorTap brand connector and also install a blendmount holder for an escort 9500ix radar detector. I basically want to know which size taps I need for my harness, .080 or .050, also the length I need, 9", 12" 15"? The company really isn't sure since this is a redesign for 2014. Any help is appreciated.

*UPDATE* Ended up running the wire from the fuse box using a fuse tap. Ran it up the A pillar, across the top of the windshield to the mirror, very clean look and not very hard at all. My only problem now is that I can't get the detector to turn off with the ignition. I tried tapping all fuses that are 10 amp or less and I tried all the blank slots, including slot 20 which is labeled as "Ignition Switch". Anyone know what the deal is? Thanks

I don't guess you use the SmartCord then?
