Bring back the on the column shifter, and free up the extra space for more storage, and more comfortable legroom. I went from a Buick Lucerne because it was discontinued and The new Impala was a more full-sized vehicle with afull-sized trunk, which I love for the storage, but this is not a comfortable car to travel in. If they do not make some improvements in the future, then I will look elsewhere.

We all realize that *** kissing is the name of the game.

This fool needs to check himself and get a grip. Precious little on the market that matches the 2LZ Impala. Just a whiner crying out loud about buying a 2LT when they should have went all in. Missed the boat. Now go and tell your friends you could have spent a few grand more and had it all. Fools never learn. This one is a clear example of that.

One thing that irritates me is the radio's "HD switching - On" setting. I turn that off and when I change bands, I have to turn it off again. Also, when I turn the car off and then the next morning I have to turn it off AGAIN! The HD for the AM band is terrible, I can't hear it over the road noise (18" rims with Firestone tires).

Funny thing happened this morning, unrelated to the radio, was that I bumped the parking brake switch and on the driver information display it said "Press the parking break pedal to release the break" OK - The car does NOT have a pedal for the parking brake.

.

With all your complaints about the car I have to wonder why you bought it at all.

Just making sure you are aware of a few things:
The headrest is adjustable front to back. Are you saying the headrest doesn't adjust far enough back?

The sun visor extends by pulling it away from the windshield. It won't cover the whole window but you can get it further towards the B pillar.

As for operating the radio, you can get used to anything, give it more time. I agree about the glare on the screen. Its tilted too far back so in bright 12PM sun, the backup cam is unreadable.

Bring back the column shifter? That is from another era and you would be throwing away any sense of sportiness that car has.

The console is not too large for me and I demand lots of knee room. My issue is with the steering wheel...it doesn't com back far enough towards the driver. So, you're a short person and find there's not enough legroom? hmm.

This is perhaps the most comfortable highway car I have ever driven. From the seats to the quietness, there is no better highway cruiser. The steering is precise and there's plenty of power for passing. The cruise control is accurate and responsive.

Maybe you should have bought the LTZ because you're not describing the car I bought.

2014 Impala - What we love:

1 - The safety features
2 - The styling and attention to detail on the interior.
3 - The handling
4 - The lines and styling of the exterior
5 - The power we get from the V6

2014 Impala - What we hate:

1 - The head rests that always feel like they are poking you in the back of the neck.
2 - The limited ability/options to get a seat to feel where you are comfortable. With the limited seating options while getting the 2LTZ options package, we almost had a deal breaker since my wife has a problem with sciatica and that made sitting in any seat in the Impala very painful for her - even after a few minutes. We ended up getting a special cushion for sciatica pain relief and she has to use that every time she sits in the car. Other than the seats, she loves the car and hopes the seat will feel better after they are broken in.
