3.5 performance chip

I was looking into getting a performance chip for my 2006 impala but I can't tell which ones are the real deal and which ones are gimmicks. Can anyone recommend a good chip for adding power and better mpg?

the only tuner stuff I've seen and been impressed with is for turbo equipped vehicles. N/A engines tunes aren't worth the cost for the small power increase.

If there's any out there that can do anything noticeable i like to know also.

Little food for thought, if those things worked on mpg improvements ect, don't you think there would be ads in the paper, tv commercials ect.?
