Everyday i have to boost my car in the morning for work and it would stay on for about 5 hours and after that its completely dead. I took it to Auto Zone and they said i have a good alternator, starter, and battery, then i ran pass another problem i thought was the problem but clearly wasnt my positive terminal was loose so i bought a new and that still wasnt it PLEASE HELP!

Jam062700, sounds like you have a parasitic current draw problem. This can be a bear to track down if you are not into electrical challenges. I had this happen on two of my chevys. On my older Impala, the trunk light stayed on and was the culprit. The only way I found that was one morning the entire car had frost on it except for one corner of the trunk lid where the bulb was located. On my Tahoe, it was the instrument cluster that was drawing too much power in the off state. I had to have the dealer locate that one.

On your 2006, If you have a DC current meter, you just have to start looking to see where the current is going. If I recall, isn't there supposed to be some sort of run-down protection on this to prevent what you are seeing? Is there any added equipment such as a stereo amp that may be on full-time doing this on you?

If this repeats every day, can you, as a test, after you shut off your Impala for the night, disconnect the power lead to the sub without causing any problems to it, then see how it starts in the AM? Otherwise when your car is off, your need to measure what you have for current flowing into the sub after the car is off.

Any noises? Possibly a bad CV joint? Any split boots or grease spewing out of the boots?
